When we first met WBW Solicitors, they were looking for an agency to work alongside their new Marketing Manager to design all promotional material for their six Devon and Cornwall offices.
The first task was to overhaul the existing suite of service based leaflets, which were a mix of styles and content. Remaining loyal to the WBW corporate colour scheme, we designed a template which helped strengthen their position in the local law market by giving a gentle, friendly appeal. The template was able to be extended and reduced in the number of pages used allowing flexibility for the different contents of each service to be applied.
Alongside the suite of leaflets and other literature, we have gone on to produce designs for their new Torquay office frontage, their regular Chewing the Cud client magazine, infographics and various exhibition products such as roller banners.
WBW Solicitors retains a strong visual presence in local communities through sponsorship of local sports clubs and stalls at town and country shows through the summer months.
What's On Publications
What's On Publications came to us in 2015 with their long-running What's On South West magazine and since then we have formed strong working relationship.
The A5 magazine is a complete guide to events, attractions and lifestyle in the south west region, and is distributed to several hundred outlets throughout South Devon for locals and tourists to pick up.
Designed on a bi-monthly basis, we help to blend the mixture of advertising attractions and editorial content throughout the often 80 page plus editions.
The success of Whats On South West is emphasised by the amount of repeat clients who advertise. It's bright and bold visual appearance being a fantastic mirror image of the areas vibrant local music and arts scene.
What's On has grown onto the international stage with the addition of What's On websites for London, Amsterdam and Venice amongst other major cities.
As well as the magazine, we work with What's On Publications to provide local attractions such as theatres with design for shows and events. This includes this years upcoming Christmas pantomime, Cinderella, which is run by Paignton Pantomime Productions.
Bradleys Estate Agents
Bradleys are the largest independent Estate Agents in the south west with more than 30 offices in the region.
We came into contact with Marketing Manager Kai Logan in 2015 when they required design for a promotion relating to the Rugby World Cup. The promotion would run for as long as England remained in the competition and offered potential customers a discounted rate on their selling fees.
After discussing the initial brief, we decided to use a Bradleys branded rugby ball as a replacement for elements in photographs of well known local areas or features.
We created a full suite of designs in various formats including posters, social media banners, website banners, and media advertising. Some of the elements replaced included beach huts and domes at the Eden Project in Cornwall.
Greenlight Mortgages are a Torquay based business founded by Adam Dyson in 2017, after plying his trade previously with a local financial advice company.
Adam required branding which he felt reflected his positive can-do attitude and honest approach to simplifying the mortgage process. Beginning the branding process with the new logo, we offered several options using a traffic light symbol as a visual representation of a mortgage offer acceptance.
The tagline "give you the go ahead" reinforces the positive message behind the branding and the company, and runs throughout all of the stationery pack.
Following on from the initial branding brief, Greenlight Mortgages required advertising to be designed for various platforms, including media and sports hoardings.
We are looking forward to continuing working alongside Adam as the business grows.
Teignbridge District Council
In 2017 Teignbridge District Council opened the Dawlish Countryside Park. They tasked Lawtz Design Group with branding the park with a new logo, and also designing flyers to promote the opening day event to the public.
Teignbridge requested that the branding for the park reflected its multi-user purpose, including dog walkers. A silhouette was created with a walker and a dog pausing to say hello on a wild grass surface. Using a one colour basis for the logo has allowed it to be used over a number of promotional items by adjusting the colour to suit the need.
Following approval of the logo, we moved on to the opening day leaflet and a panorama display panel. Continuing with a silhouette theme, the leaflet contains signposts and an opening day banner promoting the various activities in which visitors could participate.
The panorama panel challenges passers-by to spot a number of ancient and modern features on the skyline from a high point in the park. Pop along and see if you can spot them.
K2 Hairdressing is owned and managed by Gary and Kate Taylor. We began working with K2 when they launched their customer reward scheme, which required promoting through local media, social media and in store.
Keen football fans, K2 Hairdressing support local football club Buckland Athletic through sponsorship in both the match day programme and advertising hoardings. We continue to work with K2, marketing their events and special offers.
Ever expanding, they outgrew their former premises and have opened a new salon in the town centre of Newton Abbot.

Webb Enterprises run regular media adverts to promote special offers at their premises.
Sieche Training provides world-class marine courses, professional training, research trips, eco trips and educational workshops for individuals, companies and schools in the UK and around the globe.
In 2016 they approached us through Sharpedge Marketing with several projects in mind. The first of which was to brand the educational section of their courses, which is named Oceaneers Education. To do this we designed a hand illustrated logo depicting a scuba-diving child and a friendly octopus, which represented the target audience.
Next up, we designed a child-friendly leaflet to highlight the courses they run for school children. We used an illustrated seabed theme to compliment the logo design, and keep the identity consistent.
Each course was give a coloured theme using the logo which helps to break up the design into sections.
Kingsteignton Swimming Pool
The volunteer run Kingsteignton Swimming Pool has been threatened by closure on many occasions in recent times, and came to us through recommendation to become one of our nominated charities.
For the 2017 summer, they wanted to create a new promotional leaflet to circulate, which enhanced the image of the organisation and to help increase its membership. Using family images and a bright colour scheme, we designed a tri-fold leaflet containing general information as well as a pool timetable which was delivered through the doors of thousands of homes in the local neighbourhoods.
The 2017 summer opening period proved very successful, and we are looking forward to working with the team behind the scenes again next year.
Bradford Park Avenue
Through What's On Publications, we have been working with Bradford Park Avenue Football club to design their sponsorship brochure for the 2017-18 season. Using the clubs colours, we were able to produce an eye-catching brochure which will help to secure vital income.
After the brochure, we were also tasked with designing the clubs fixture list to boost crowds visiting on match days.
Alive Fitness and Sports
Teignmouth based Alive Fitness and Sports is managed by Louise Heath who contacted Lawtz Design Group after finding themselves in need of design support.
The initial request was to discuss branding the fitness classes with individual advertising. To do this we themed each class with a colour and adjusted the Alive Fitness logo and supporting image to match.
We regularly update the gyms timetable and design media adverts aimed at increasing the overall membership.
Alive Fitness and Sport also off 90 day diet plans and physiotherapy/massage, which we have helped promote through posters and social media content.
